Maintenance Technician I (Open Positions: 1)

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing journeyman level work in one of the building trades such as cement finishing, plumbing, minor electrical, painting and/or carpentry. Work assignments are received from a superior in terms of the job to be accomplished and its location; however, the employee usually works independently in completing the assigned task. Work may involve the operation of dump trucks, front-end loader or other equipment on a relief basis. Work may also involve supervision of semi-skilled and unskilled workers engaged with each assignment. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated through discussion and on-site inspections for the efficient and effective utilization of materials, equipment, and labor; and for compliance with instructions.
